Consumer education

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Consumer education is the preparation of an individual through skills, concepts and understanding that are required for everyday living to achieve maximum satisfaction and utilization of his resources.

It is part of the formal school curriculum in many places and incorporates knowledge from many disciplines, including but not limited to

  • mathematics,
  • economics,
  • law,
  • information theory,
  • psychology, and
  • game theory.

One magazine devoted to providing consumers with accurate reviews of products is Consumer Reports, not to be confused with Consumers Digest.

There are also few consumer education websites and one such site is http://www.admanya.com which is the first ever C2C (consumer to consumer) portal in India. This site contains reviews of products and services by consumers and anyone can read or submit a review without needing to register.
